 Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 10 begins with Mechamaru informing Yuji that Satoru has been sealed away. Meanwhile, the controller Suguru tells Satoru that they will meet again soon. Satoru says he can't wait, but asks when Suguru will stop letting people control him. Suguru chokes on her own hand and laughs hysterically. He talks to Mahit for a while about bodies and souls. Satoru tells Suguru to seal him already and stop laughing. The variant is suitable.

Mahito asks Suguru if the Prison Realm object they used to seal Sator could be reused. Suguru says it can, but it can only contain one person. However, if the person inside commits suicide, it cannot be used again. Meanwhile, Mechamaru informs Yuji and his allies that he is not lying about Satoru being sealed away. Kokichi claims that Mahito killed him and the Mechamaru he is talking to is the "fuse" he left before his death. He set it to activate once Satoru was sealed away.

Kokichi shares his stance on the possibility of Yuji and Mei Mei being traitors. He believes both sides are innocent. Kokichi informs the two that the Cursed Users are coming to kill them. Mei Mei senses the presence of the enemy, but suggests that they first confirm Satoru's imprisonment, thus eroding Kokichi's insurance. Kokichi's insurance explains the situation to them in more detail and begs them to follow his instructions as the insurance he set up is about to disappear.

Mei Mei admits. Kokichi's insurance tasks Yuji with leaving the area safely and informing everyone of Satoru's closed state. This way, everyone can work to free Satoru. Mei Mei is tasked by the insurance company to protect Yuji during this mission. Ui Ui plans to help Mei Mei with her task. Yuji gets out of the station and runs off to inform the others. Meanwhile, Satoru hopes everyone will do their best as he rests in the Prison Realm box.

We switch to Nanami's group discussing the current situation. Nanami plans to deal with the enemy that dropped the curtain around Shibuya. He tasks his students with protecting passers-by in the area. We see all three groups entering the barrier. Meanwhile, Kiyotaka informs someone that Nitta will leave the curtain area. This is because they cannot receive cell signals inside and he feels it is important for them to create a communication network.

Before he can continue, the blond individual stabs Kiyotaka until he is unconscious. The blonde reports to their white-haired partner, who gives them permission to stay inside the curtain and murder the people in the suit. Meanwhile, someone watches footage of Suguru and his friends talking about Satoru's imprisonment. Suguru says that while they successfully sealed Satoru, he has not yet been fully processed in the prison realm. Next, the Prison Realm box will remain on the ground until the process is complete.

Mahito seizes upon the situation and destroys one of Kokichi's gadgets. Suguru realizes they have been followed when Kokichi's fuse informs Yuji that they still have time to save Satoru. Insurance suggests that they send jujutsu wizards to neighboring stations to ambush Suguru and his allies. Yuji tells the insurance company that he can't find Kiyotaka for some reason and enters behind the curtain with the commoners inside. He fights several cursed spirits and heads to the roof to call Nanami.

Everyone hears Yuji's voice as he informs them all that Satoru is sealed away. Nanami informs her students that they will immediately head towards Yuji as it is important that they save Satoru. Meanwhile, Suguru informs his men that he will stay and monitor the Prison Realm box. Choso wants to kill Nobara and Yuji, but Jogo says they can't hurt Yuji because he's harboring Sukuna. Mahito intervenes and explains why they should go ahead with Cho's desires.

Mahito feels that now that Satoru is sealed, they have a chance to take over the world. Even without Sukuna, Mahito feels that he will win. Jogo and Mahito get into a philosophical debate. Mahito suggests they hold a short game to settle things. If Mahito or Choso meet Yuji first, they will kill him. If Jogo does this, he can give Yuji the finger to restore Sukun's power. Suguru says he is not involved. He believes that Sukuna is only a backup plan in case the Prison Realm trick fails.

Mahito, Jogo and Choso start their game and run away. Meanwhile, two women interrogate Suguru and ask him to bring back the real Suguru. Suguru tells them to get lost. Nanami, Megumi and Ino meet up with Yuji. Kokichi's insurance informs the four of what he has collected and his plan of attack. Nanami believes this is a great strategy, but first they have to remove the curtain. Nanami plans to meet with Kiyotaka and asks Yuji and the others to inform the other groups about the insurance company's information.

Nanami tasks Ino with watching Megumi and Yuji while she is away. Ino pumps up Yuji and Megumi before moving forward with her task of sharing information. Meanwhile, a woman named Ogami informs a man named Awasaka that Satoru has been sealed away and that the information has been leaked to the enemy.

The episode closes with the trio observing the situation from afar.

Episode review

Episode 10 dials things up a bit to give viewers an immersive setup chapter. Satoru's imprisonment came as a surprise to most fans, and many wondered how our heroes would save him. Fortunately, this episode confirms that Satoru is not out of reach just yet. However, Yuji and his allies must go to great lengths if they hope to reach Satoru in time.

Many viewers will adore the level playing field set in this chapter. Neither side has an advantage over the other, making the whole Shibuya situation less predictable and more exciting for speculation. While the setting and explanatory parts were understandable, the dialogue of this chapter was a bit difficult to get through at times.

Not every episode has to be action packed. However, this chapter could use some tweaking to make its important details much easier to cover. Speaking of action, the little bits of action we got from Yuji this week were animated to perfection. Seeing him dance around cursed ghosts and deal solid blows was immersive and elegant.

The high quality of the animations shows how much this project means to the staff of Studio Mappa. Overall, I'm curious to see what types of strategies, outcomes, and fights we'll see moving forward in this arc.
