 Summary:

Even though his luck seems to have run out, Hakari continues to bet everything on expanding his domain. Hakari once again proves extremely happy, but he’s not the only one willing to gamble. As the battle continues, Kashimo shows that he is willing to take risks to achieve victory as well.

Plot:

Hakari successfully expands his domain, but with the left side of his lower abdomen completely blown away, he can do no more than collapse. Kashimo believes it’s over because this round of Idle Death Gamble will only feature faster spins instead of increased odds. He says that Hakari’s desperate attempt is sad and he doubts that he will hit the next jackpot with only a one in two hundred and thirty nine chance.
However, against all odds, Hakari hits the jackpot again. Rather than granting faster spins, Hakari’s wheel also includes a hidden probability, allowing him to land three deuces in a row and completely heal his mortal wound. As the domain begins to crumble, Hakari admits that he is impressed by Kashimo because he has never died so much in one fight. He also adds that he has manga on the brain because of his encounter with Charles. Hakari asks Kashima if he likes the manga, but he says no. The young gambler replies “how’s it for electricity” and suddenly the balance in the domain shifts as the barrier crumbles.
Kashimo now falls and looks down, realizing that Hakari has moved the barrier across the sea next to the shipyard. Falling Kashima into the water causes his electrified cursed energy to drain until he is completely drained. He can release it until it’s all gone, or shut it down completely until it comes back to land. However, most of Tokyo Colony No. 2 is made up of the ocean and is home to many cursed spirits. Several curses emerge from the water in an attempt to attack Kashimo, but he uses them as footholds to avoid touching the water.
With the manga on the brain, Hakari attacks with quick attacks that rip through the group of curses. He gets to Kashimo and kicks him into the water, holding on to a small flying curse to keep him from going in as well. Unable to guard himself without the use of jujutsu reinforcement, Kashima’s cursed energy begins to flow into the water as he desperately tries to suppress it. Hakari plans to hit Kashima back into the water if he resurfaces, but suddenly finds it difficult to see or breathe. He vomits and releases a flying curse, falling into the water himself. While suppressing his cursed energy as much as possible, Kashimo used electrolysis to create chlorine gas from the water and poisoned Hakari.
Kashimo knows that he can kill the user of the Reverse Cursed Technique with a single blow to the head or toxins. Compared to dealing with the toxin, body regeneration is a simple task for the reverse cursed technique. He believes that Hakari can’t detox fast enough and that the cycle will end when he drowns. Even so, Kashimo admits to himself that this battle was enjoyable and shows his respect for Hakari as an opponent.
Just as Hakari descends past Kashimo, he opens his eyes and lets air out of his nose, showing that he is still alive and active. This surprises Kashima, who is suddenly hit with a left hook to the jaw followed by a kick to the head. He is shocked that Hakari’s Reverse Cursed Technique is fully automatic and able to target toxins and remove them unconsciously.
Hakari notices the temperature of the water rising due to Kashima’s cursed energy and debates her next move. He cannot extend his domain again before the end of the turn, and doing so underwater is dangerous due to the increasing temperature of the water and the electrical shock within it. With only five seconds left, Hakari decides to attack rather than return to the surface.
Hakari hits Kashima with another hard left hook and tells him to keep going. Kashimo grabs Hakari’s arm and accepts the challenge, releasing all of his cursed energy at once to create a steam explosion that catches his opponent off guard.
