Ino does her best to make Nanami proud of the Shibuya Tower curse user. Meanwhile, Yuji and Megumi have more trouble than expected dealing with old man Jiro Awasaka. Jujutsu wizards want to get the fight over with quickly, but curse users have a few tricks of their own.
Plot:
While having dinner with him at the cafeteria, Nanami told Ino that his innate technique could make him a Semi-Class 1 in no time. However, Ino always insisted that Nanami recommend him for promotion.
Doing things the right way is important to Ino, especially when doing a hard and undesirable job like a jujutsu wizard. Ino doesn’t consider herself the smartest person around, and there’s a lot of gray area in their profession. Whenever Ino can’t decide what to do, she asks herself “what would Nanami do?”. In this case, becoming a 1st class wizard without Nanami’s approval just wouldn’t be right for Ino.
Atop Shibuya Tower, cursed energy flows from Ina’s body as she activates her innate technique: Auspicious Beasts Summon. Ino has a cursed séance technique that allows him to become a spirit medium by hiding his face. In doing so, he can summon and use the abilities of the four auspicious animals: Kaichi, Reiki, Kirin and Ryu.
First, Ino summons Kaichi and fires a corner projectile with homing missile ability. Ogami’s grandson grabs her and puts his body on it to protect her. While protecting her from harm, Ogami clasps his hands together in prayer with the beads and casts an incantation. Ino wants to wrap up this fight quickly and go back to the first years because Nanami has entrusted him to take care of them. He tells himself that he must understand the facts and control his self to eliminate his ego. Once in the right frame of mind, Ino summons Reiki powers and continues the fight.
Meanwhile, Yuji and Megumi fight alongside Divine Dog: Totality against Awasaka. The boys do not find fighting the enemy difficult, but the hardest part of this battle is cooperation. They seem to overpower the old man, but despite their best efforts, he remains unharmed. He stabs Yuji with the knife, which only cuts the skin and gets caught in Megumi the toad’s tongue. The toad hurls the curse user into the bridge structure above them before chasing it away. However, Awasaka is still unharmed despite Yuji hitting him with full force and the Divine Dog’s claws being able to inflict a special curse. They shouldn’t have wasted time and Megumi points this out but Yuji has no comment.
Back at the top of the Shibuya Tower, the grandson stands between the wizard and Ogami. The old woman continues her incantation as Ino repeatedly wins melee exchanges with her grandson using her Reiki abilities. He is no match for the wizard, which makes Ino feel bad about the situation. The tall jujutsu wizard realizes too late and Ogami’s cursed energy suddenly surges. Her terms have been met and her grandson swallows some pill. Ino summons Kaichi again, but the grandson’s body is fast enough to catch the corner with his bare hands.
Ogami revives Toji Zenin using his grandson’s body, shocking Ino. When his face changes to Toji, the grandson claims that this is the best.
