Summary:
Armed with his older brother’s abilities, Panda turns the tide of battle against Mechamar. After their clash, the two are able to find common ground. At the same time, Kasumi learns about Maki’s true power.
Plot:
Around the time when Panda was still a child, Yaga told him that he had an older brother and sister. The rather young Panda argued that this was not correct, but Yaga explained further. Panda was born with three energy cores, two of which are his brother and sister. Yaga believed that Panda would one day recognize them both as they would always be there to lend him their power.
Mechamaru tries to defend with his Ultra Shield move using his only functioning arm, but his guard is effortlessly broken through by the brute force of Panda’s Gorilla Mode. Despite Mechamaru’s defenses, he could feel the impact of Panda’s strike resonating within him. Gorilla Mode’s Unblockable Drumming Beat is to blame.
Both sides analyze each other. Mechamaru knows that his body cannot take another hit from the Unblockable Drumming Beat and cannot use his Ultimate Cannon again. Carefully analyzing Mechamar’s remaining abilities, Panda admits that he has already managed to cripple two of his cores. Gorilla Mode requires a lot of damn energy, and this is Panda’s last resort. Mechamaru will have to get in close to finish him off, but in Gorilla mode, Panda has the melee advantage.
Mechamaru grabs a bag from the roof they are fighting on and throws it at Panda. As his opponent deflects the tile, Mechamaru uses his elbow boosters to lunge behind the Panda and hit her energy core. He praises Panda for doing well with the doll, but the cursed corpse surprises him again. Panda grabs Mechamara’s arm and reveals that he can fake the location of his core by focusing his cursed energy into a single point in his body.
With one powerful palm strike, Panda completely destroys Mechamaru’s body, crushing his head and ripping off his only functioning arm. He tells Mechamar that he lost because he underestimated the doll. Panda believes they can bond because neither of them feel the same as their classmates. Despite this, Panda does not envy humans because of their rude tendencies.
Panda adds that he likes humans because they have qualities that he doesn’t have, and asks Mechamaru why he decided to become a jujutsu wizard. Kokichi looks forward to the day when he can walk among his classmates with a healthy body. Panda claims that he can help his peer, but Kokichi questions if Panda would feel the same if she saw Mechamaru’s true form. Panda is not picky about looks and asks for Mechamar’s phone before leaving.
Meanwhile, Maki continues to fight against Kasumi. While barely fending off Maki’s attacks, Kasumi realizes that Maki is actually insanely strong.
