Episode review
Once again, Studio Mappa offers fans another beautifully animated spectacle to watch in this week’s episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. Many fans will be on the edge of their seats watching Sukuna use his exceptional martial arts and techniques against Mahoraga. The aftermath of the battle will leave fans in a similar state of shock as Yuji.
Unfortunately, Yuji won’t share a similar reaction to all of this. From the collapsed cityscapes to the many lives Sukuna took, fans can’t blame Yuji for wanting to rid himself of this world. The opening part of the episode involving his relative was also a nice addition to the episode. It reminds people of Yuji’s determination to protect lives, not take them away.
That said, it will be interesting to see how this chaos affects Yuji’s character development. Yuji aside, it’s great to see Nanami alive and well. However, it is likely that he is running out of breath. Let’s hope we see him perform one last noble deed if the story plans to write him off next week.
All in all, it was a wonderful feast for the eyes and Studio Mappa deserves a lot of credit for the effort put into creating this visual gem.
