Summary:
Sukuna and Joga’s battle reaches its fiery climax! Even if Jogo comes up short, he earns the accolade of King of Curses. Meanwhile, Megumi doesn’t seem to count, but a new fighter threatens to ensure that Haruta Shigemo shares his fate.
Plot:
Sukuna and Jogo stand on the burning remains of Maximum: Meteor. Sukuna creates an arrow of flame from his palm while Jogo swirls his flames into a small fireball created from his compressed energy. Sukuna takes aim holding a fully formed arrow between his fingers while Jogo stands across from him.
Jogo enters the fantasy alongside his deceased allies Hanami and Dagon. He apologizes to them and Hanami asks if Mahito is still alive. Death is something people fear and yet linger over. It is a mirror for humanity and Mahito is a manifestation of that reflection. He will continue to grow stronger, which is why Jogo has endorsed him as a leader. Jogo believes that when everyone is reborn, they will become new entities. Despite this, he hopes that they can all be reunited one day.
Jogo sticks to his ideology until the end, saying that cursed spirits are real people when Sukuna suddenly enters a fantasy. He asks Jog if he wanted to become human. Sukuna knows that Jogo means that he wants curses to replace humans, but believes that this is foolishness. Jogo should have burned everything down without a second thought to reach the heights without even caring about Satoru Gojo. Sukuna believes that Jogo lacked the hunger to possess such desires, but he still enjoyed the battle.
Sukuna admits that compared to everyone he’s fought over the last millennium, Jogo isn’t bad. He praises Jog and tells him to be proud because he is strong. Acknowledging his power, Jogo shed a tear and asked what was going on. Back in reality, Sukuna responds to Jogo’s smoldering corpse, claiming that he doesn’t know either. Immediately after, the curse user Uraume arrives to escort Master Sukuna. Sukuna is surprised to see Uraume, recognizing them from the past.
Elsewhere at 23:07, Megumi is badly injured and Haruta Shigemo faces a whole new threat. Desperate, Shigemo demands that Megumi wake up from her unconscious and bloody state.
