Summary:
Convinced that Yuji Itadori is his younger brother, Choso fights with all his might to protect him. Jujutsu wizards, seeing the Chosa breach as an opportunity to seize, launch a final assault to retake the Prison Realm from the Pseudo-Geto. With Uraume literally frozen in their tracks, someone from Suguru Geta’s past arrives on the battlefield to save.
Plot:
A side effect of Cho’s cursed technique is that he can sense the transformation of his younger brothers through their blood connection. Death is the last and greatest transformation that any living being can achieve. Right before Yuji was finished in their fight earlier in Shibuya, Choso felt the sensation of his death. To Chos, this can only mean that Yuji is also his younger brother.
Pseudo-Noritoshi Kamo extended his life from moving from host to host, allowing Yuji and Choso to share some sort of blood relationship. To fulfill his duty as an older brother, Choso is ready to protect Yuji with all his might. Choso activates Blood Manipulation: Convergence and surprises Kyoto High’s Noritoshi Kamo with how much better it is than his own.
Choso fires Piercing Blood and it almost lands in Uraume’s face in the blink of an eye. Uraume is surprised by Piercing Blood’s immense speed and barely manages to protect their face. Geto dodges the attack while drilling a hole in one of his cursed energy-enhanced hands. Choso swings a stream of blood behind the bloody arrow and slashes at Geto. This breaks the ground and Choso uses the blood he placed there to disrupt the Geto. They engage each other by exchanging blows in melee combat. Geto is the first to land a significant blow and suggests that Choso not strain after fighting so much earlier. Choso sees fatigue as no excuse for putting his life on the line to protect his younger brother.
Confused, Panda asks if Yuji is really related to Choso. Yuji doesn’t believe they are and reveals how Choso almost killed him earlier. Regardless of his relationship with Yuji, Noritoshi points out that Choso is creating a stir that he must take advantage of. The two cores are still going strong and Panda goes ahead in Gorilla Mode while the others follow behind him. Panda activates his Unblockable Drumming Beat, but suddenly Uraume activates their innate technique: Ice Formation.
Uraume uses Frost Calm to release an ice mist that freezes Choso, Noritoshi, Panda, and Kusakabe. Geto asks them not to kill the wizards because he needs messengers. Uraume heals their arm with the Reverse Curse Technique, discouraging Kusakabe, who considers these curse users to be on a different level altogether. Choso activates Flowing Red Scale to quickly raise his body temperature and melt the ice, claiming he can’t contain it. Uraume appears in front of Chos with a frozen pointed finger pointing at his face and asks how much ice it will take.
Yuji, one of the few who wasn’t frozen, kicks Chos out of the ice to save him from Uraume. Angry, Uraume asks who the vessel thinks it belongs to. Yuji believes he wasn’t frozen because of Sukuna and asks Chos whose side he’s on. Choso denies fighting wizards and again states that he is Yuji’s older brother. He even asks Yuji to try calling him “big brother” once. Yuji ignores this as he notices Momo Nishimiya flying towards the ground on a broomstick.
Momo uses her Wind Scythe technique to launch blades of cursed energy wind from her broom at the two curse users. Uraume is able to block this attack with his bare hands much easier than Piercing Blood, much to Momo’s frustration. Yuji, Momo, and Choso are the only ones still mobile, and the Kyoto student tells the other two that they need to buy time on Utahime.
Unsatisfied with needing a messenger as a reason to keep so many enemy wizards alive, Uraume activates the Ice Formation again. He claims that Yuji alone will be enough and creates a stream of icicles that surround both curse users before splitting to freeze their opponents. Flying chunks of ice attack, freezing Yuji, Choso, and Momo in place. A second wave of sharpened icicles attack them from above, ensuring certain death. Their demise seems certain until a mysterious shikigami suddenly appears and quickly breaks the ice.
A special class wizard, Yuki Tsukumo, appears on the battlefield to accompany her shikigami. She asks Geta again the same question from all those years ago: she asks what kind of girl he’s into.
