Summary:
After fighting several battles in a row, Megumi doesn’t even have a moment to himself as he is attacked by another curse user. Meanwhile, Kusakabe and Panda also encounter a pair of curse users. However, the big battle between two special editions takes precedence over all the chaos.
Plot:
Megumi kneels down and examines the body of her deceased opponent. He notices that his face has changed back to Ogami’s grandson and admits that he was lucky that the man chose to commit suicide.
Megumi thinks about what Naobito said about “Toji” and what his opponent said about rejecting “Zenins”. However, Megumi is still injured from the fight and decides that she needs to go see Shoko Ieiri as soon as possible. That’s his first thought, but then Megumi reminds herself that she needs to check on Maki and her team first.
Suddenly, Megumi is slashed from behind by curse user Haruta Shigemo. Shigemo still has a broken nose and teeth from his fight with Nanami, but he is alive and moving. He’s excited to be back attacking people who can’t defend themselves, admitting that he’s better suited for this type of fight.
Meanwhile, the Kusakabe Team wander aimlessly around Shibuya. By 11:01 PM they are in front of Shibuya stream checking random buildings. Panda begs his teacher to hurry and find Satoru and he would go alone, but he is not sure where Fukushotin Line B5F is. Toge Inumaki confirmed that he had moved all the civilians somewhere safe and that Satoru Gojo had been sealed away. Panda believes he needs to hurry, but Kusakabe keeps coming up with excuses to keep Panda’s urgency at bay.
Kusakabe doesn’t want to die fighting with special marks, so he wants to keep buying time. Dwindling human numbers could lead Panda to B5F despite his terrible sense of direction. The platform is literally around the corner from where they are, but Kusakabe is determined to waste more time pretending to be lost after entering the Shin-Minami entrance. Panda might eventually go alone, but Kusakabe doesn’t even want to be alone in Shibuya.
.
Team Kusakabe is interrupted by the appearance of two curse users: Manami Suda and Toshihisa Negi. They are the two former commanders of Suguru Geto and three of their pawns are also behind Kusakabe and Panda. Negi tells them to give up because he doesn’t want to kill more wizards. In contrast, Kusakabe relishes the opportunity to fight other wizards as it can buy him more time. He questions the curse user’s motivations and tells them to take as much time as they want.
Manami reveals that they inherited Suguru Geto’s will. She and Negi intend to help Pseudo-Geto despite Mimiko and Nanako’s concerns. The remnants of Suguru’s “family” had an argument as the two girls wanted to kill Pseudo Geta while Negi and Manami wanted to help him. Larue ended the fight, believing that neither side was wrong. They all agreed to go their separate ways, but Larue reminded them that the day would come when bread would be broken again in this family.
At the end of Manami’s story, she asks if Kusakabe is giving up. Kusakabe is disappointed that the story ended so quickly. He’s still glad the situation is too good to leave. Undeterred by a curse user of this level, Kuakabe wants to take advantage of the situation and stay away from any real danger. Kusakabe activates a new Shadow Style: Evening Moon Sword Drawing. Negi takes this as this opponent’s response and begins to use his own technique.
Their fight is suddenly interrupted by an explosion that blows up the entire building behind Negi, surprising all the wizards. This is the result of the battle between Sukuna and Jog. The former punches Jog through the air and dominates their fight. As the other falls wounded with blood pouring from his mouth, Sukuna questions if that is all he has.
