Summary:
Toji effortlessly defeats Dagon, but the jujutsu wizards’ problems are far from over. Megumi is taken away from the group and the others are suddenly burned alive by a vengeful Jog. Before he can finish them off for good, Jogo notices Sukuna’s presence in Shibuya.
Plot:
Toji stabs Dagon’s face and impales his head with a sharpened Playful Cloud. Dagon believes he can still fight, but Toji brutally threads the Playful Cloud through Dagon’s head and stabs him in the eye as well. He then breaks the chain connecting the three-pronged staff and quickly uses both sharpened sides to obliterate Dagon.
The domain is distracted and Maki is shocked that a lone warrior was able to exorcise such a powerful cursed spirit without help. Exhausted from holding her domain for so long, Megumi takes a moment to catch her breath. Nanami knows that if Megumi didn’t show that they would all be killed, but now they have a new problem, they can’t be sure if Toji is on their side or not.
Toji still fights on instinct as a puppet incarnation, baring his fangs on the strongest around. Megumi may be exhausted, but he is by far the least injured. Toji pulls him out of the station in no time by breaking the corridor window. Before Megumi can even process what was happening, she finds herself outside on the road. Megumi lands safely, but looks across the street at her opponent with a surprised expression. He claims that this ridiculous level of speed even surpasses Sukun’s from behind when they fought.
Maki cries out in worry for Megumi, but is interrupted by a new presence behind her. Jogo arrives to mourn Dagon, collects his banished ashes, and bids farewell to his friend. Badly injured, Naobito and Nanami find it unfair that right after their fight with Dagon, they face a new curse that far surpasses him. Jogo tells Dagon to leave the rest to him and that he looks forward to meeting them in the wastelands a hundred years in the future.
On another topic, Jogo looks back over his shoulder with a menacing look that fills the room with his anger. Within a second, Jogo has his palm on Nanami’s waist. He says “that’s one” and blasts Nanami with an explosive wave of cursed flames. Before Maki can cry out Nanami’s name in worry, Jogo sets her on fire as well. He says “that’s two” and moves to claim a third victim. However, Naobito gets behind Jogo and surprises the curse with his speed.
Naobit’s innate technique: Projection Sorcery, splits a single second into twenty-four frames and uses his field of vision as a projection point of view. This allows Naobito to track down a predetermined set of moves to perform within those twenty-four frames. Additionally, anything Naobit’s plan touches that doesn’t follow the “24 FPS” rule when moving will be frozen in animation for one second. A predetermined set of moves cannot be modified once launched, and its trajectory cannot ignore the laws of physics too much. Naobito was born with a natural sense of strategic timing and movement. So much so, he was considered the fastest jujutsu wizard with the exception of Satoru Gojo. That being said, it was back when Naobito still had both hands.
Two small volcanic vents suddenly appear behind Naobito. He is unable to avoid the passing heat waves in time and is badly burned by Jog’s technique. Jogo says “that’s three” and prepares to finish off Naobita. Sukun’s powerful presence suddenly sends chills down Jog’s spine and immediately catches his attention. He thinks a finger has come loose somewhere nearby and goes to look for it.
Meanwhile, Nanako Hasaba and Mimiko find Yuji unconscious after his fight with Choso. She force-feeds him one of Sukuna’s fingers, and Jogo finds them soon after. Annoyed, he demands to know how many fingers they fed him, and the girls flee using Nanak’s cursed technique.
While Sukun’s marks still remain on Yuji’s face, Jogo decides to make the best of the situation. Pseudo-Geto informed Jogo in advance that if Yuji ate a finger a day for twenty days, he would probably not lose control of his body to Sukuna, even though he would eat all twenty of his fingers. In contrast, feeding Yuji ten fingers at once could temporarily force him to lose control. Jogo pulls out a small scroll of the Ten Fingers of Sukun and tells the cursed king that it’s time to wake up.
