Summary:
Gojo and all the students decide that despite all the fighting, the Goodwill Event should continue. To finally settle the score between the students, the event is reorganized into a… baseball game!?
Plot:
Satoru Gojo meets with all the students to decide if they want to continue with the goodwill event. A lot happened and some people died, so Yuji and some others hesitated. However, Aoi speaks up and says that they should continue the event. To everyone’s surprise, Aoi makes some strong points as to why they should continue, which everyone else also agrees with.
In another twist, Gojo decides to forego the individual portion of the event and has Yuji randomly draw another team event. Yuji ends up playing baseball, much to the surprise of both principals, who were trying to keep the traditions alive. The baseball game begins with Miwa batting while Utahime and Momo argue over the rules. Kamo comes to the bat and asks Yuji the catcher why he became a jujutsu wizard.
Yuji explains that he wants to help people and not die alone. Noritoshi only became a jujutsu wizard to help his mother, so he understands the reasoning. Intrigued by Yuji, Noritoshi decides not to swing and is easily beaten by Maki. The teams switch sides and Nobara steps up to bat while Mechamaru controls the pitching machine. Angered by her opponent’s advantage, Nobara confronts Mai at first base before she manages to hit the ball while she is at bat.
Megumi sacrifices on a bunt to allow Nobara to advance a base and then Panda and Maki capitalize, helping the team seemingly score three points. However, because Momo uses her broom to catch Maki’s ball. The Tokyo students argue that it’s cheating while Aoi steps up to bat. He wants to face Yuji, who is more of a pitcher than a catcher, which angers Maki, who hits him in the face with the ball. Almost everyone on the field congratulates her and Yuji realizes how hated Todo is.
As the game continues, the two principals talk about Yuji. Gakuganji admits that he hates Yuji, but the rules mean that his presence cannot be ignored. Sukuna could cause mass death, but Yaga believes Yuji could save even more potential lives as a wizard. All the wizards are very sorry, as is Yaga with her former student Suguru Get. That’s why it’s important for teachers to support students for the time being, because their regrets as adults can wait.
As the baseball game draws to a close, Yuji hits a home run to help Toge score. The 30th Annual Kyoto Goodwill Event finally comes to an end and Tokyo High is the winner.
