Summary:
The Zenin family gathers to read Naobit Zenin’s will. His most talented son Naoya expects to inherit his position. However, his expectations are dashed by a special clause that makes Megumi the head of the clan. He plans to take back what is rightfully his and plans to hunt down Megumi in Tokyo, the same place Yuji and Choso chose to stay after the Shibuya incident.
Plot:
At the Zenin estate, after criticizing his dying cousin Maki, Naoya joins Ogi and Jinichi as they await news of Naobito’s death. Naoya criticizes his two relatives and makes them violent. After Naoya sheepishly defuses the situation he created, a man named Furudate enters and informs the three that Naobito has died. He reads Naobito’s will and announces that Naoya will become the 27th head of the Zenin family and inherit all of its wealth once approved by Ogi or Jinichi.
However, Furudate then reveals that there is a clause based on a written agreement with Toji Fushiguro that states that if Satoru Gojo dies or becomes mentally incapacitated, Megumi Fushiguro will take over the role instead. Naoya is furious, knowing that Ogi and Jinichi would prefer someone other than himself to be the head of the clan. He eventually learns that Megumi is looking for Yuji Itadori in Tokyo and that Yuji is Sukun’s ship, and tells the attendant to inform higher-ups that he will personally kill Yuji. In addition, he plans to take advantage of the chaos in Tokyo and kill Megumi as well.
In a flashback, Yuki is on the phone with someone and apologizes for not making a move earlier, saying that she was just keeping an eye on things. He kindly notes that he isn’t necessarily on their side, adding that he just wants to rid the world of cursed spirits. She says that she and her comrades will take responsibility for delivering the children who were present, and finally reveals that she plans to confront Tengen.
As a dejected Yuji sits alone on the grand staircase, Choso approaches him and asks about his injuries. Yuji says he’s fine because of Sukuna, who he can tell is getting stronger. Choso says that he will be fine on his own while he collects the remains of Shoso and the others and tells Yuji that he can return to Jujutsu High. However, Yuji replies that Sukuna has something planned for Megumi and that he himself has killed too many people, reminding Chos that he killed both Ace and Kechiza. Choso calmly says that it was a misunderstanding and that forgiveness is not the issue when it comes to brothers. As the two head out to deal with more cursed spirits, Naoya and Yuta are each seen heading out to track down Yuji and kill him.
