Summary:
Yuji is able to get a meeting with Hakari where they discuss the “fever”. It’s a fever that drives people to gamble, and Hakari wants to capitalize on humanity’s fever with his fight club. Before Yuji can get a word in, the communication is suddenly interrupted as Kirara is able to get a warning for Hakari. At the same time, Megumi and Panda continue to convince Kirara that they are only at the fight club to ask for help.
Plot:
Hakari asks Yuji if he believes he could earn one million yen a month by working one hour a day.
Confused, Yuji asks what he should do, but he would have to pay Hakari two hundred thousand yen for this information. Clearly a hoax, Yuji tells Hakari that he wouldn’t agree to something like that because it’s shady. Hakari agrees, pointing out that this is a classic scam where scammers get rich quick by selling tips. It’s an obvious scam, but Hakari notes that there are plenty of people who still fall for it. Hakari believes it all has to do with the “fever”.
In a scam of this type, both the scammer and the scammer are feverish to change their lives. People have fevers and make stupid decisions, but people can’t even fall in love without it. Hakari loves Fever and asks Yuji if he knows the most direct way to engage with her. Yuji guesses correctly and says it’s a gamble. Apparently a lot of girls who hate gambling have dumped Hakari in the past, but he points out that life itself is gambling. Society tramples on losers who don’t know when to quit, but Hakari points out that everyone gambles and what people hate is losing and going to ruin.
Yuji says that some people want to live in peace, but Hakari says that he doesn’t know anyone like that. Hakari wants to control the fever of the whole country with his fight club. The existence of cursed spirits has been made public and changes to the rules of jujutsu are inevitably coming. Hakari wants to take advantage of this and expand his business to make jujutus headquarters realize his ambitions.
Excited about the future, Hakari needs strong allies and asks Yuji if he wants to have a fever with him. Yuji prepares to bring up Jujutsu High and ask for help, but they are interrupted by a phone call. Hakari lets her phone ring until it goes to voicemail. He offers Yuji a drink even though he’s underage and says that even Satoru Gojo can’t drink. Yuji pretends that he doesn’t know who Satoru Gojo is, but this is suspicious because Satoru is someone every wizard is aware of. Hakari finishes his drink and confrontationally asks if Yuji is a spy from Jujutsu High.
Before Yuji can speak and plead his case, Hakari throws a glass of drink right in his face. Yuji deflects the goblet, but Hakari activates his cursed technique and summons two tall sliding doors that attempt to close, with Yuji between them. Yuji jumps over the horizontal door and tries to speak, but Hakari continues his attack. Hakari reveals that the phone call from Kirara means something is wrong. Yuji remembers what Megumi said about only asking for cooperation and runs into Hakari. The third year doesn’t give up and Yuji asks him to listen but Hakari refuses as he now has a cold fever.
Meanwhile, while Kirara is deadlocked with Panda and Megumi over their technique, Megumi decides it’s the best time to talk. Megumi explains that they are not on Jujutsu High’s side and need Hakari’s help, but Kirara isn’t too receptive. Megumi asks what happened between them and the higher ups, and Panda explains that the conservative members of the community prefer traditional jujutsu, while Hakari’s has blended with technology.
Kirara points out that Jujutsu High lost because they have their priorities reversed. They add that they always have Satoru Gojo to clean up their messes, so why ask for help. Megumi tries to reveal that Satoru was sealed, but Kirara looks comically disbelieving, showing that Megumi doesn’t believe at all.
Megumi decides to activate Rabbit Escape and summons dozens of her rabbit shikigami. He and Panda know that Kirara is closest to Hakari. If they can convince Kirara, negotiations with Hakari will go smoothly.
