 Summary:

Megumi is trapped by various cursed techniques from Reggie Star and his group of wizards. After enduring tons of punishment, Megumi gets a second wind when Kogane announces that a certain new rule has been added to the Culling Game.

Plot:

Next to the open balcony Megumi is standing next to, a detached eye is released through the air before suddenly exploding. This was caused by another player named Iori Hazenoki, one of Reggie’s allies. Reggie warns Hazenoki of friendly fire, and the now one-eyed wizard breaks some teeth as he questions if their target is dead.
Megumi escapes the smoke created by the explosion and immediately avoids Remi’s attack. She tries to hit him with her hair like a scorpion, but Megumi counters and throws her to the ground. Megumi aggressively asks her if she’s had enough, and Hazenoki swings from the floor above, throwing her teeth like projectiles at Megumi. Reggie also throws receipts which turn into gas and splatter all over Megumi. Combined with the gasoline, Hazenoki’s explosives lead to a massive explosion that explodes through the top of the building.
Reggie opens the door and walks out of the room he was hiding in from the explosion. He asks if they’re done, but Hazenoki saw Megumi hide in another room to avoid damage as well. Reggie praises Megumi’s tenacity, but they’re sure he’s worn down to say the least. Megumi gets the door that fell on him out of the way and tells Remi that Reggie’s group will never protect her. The explosions could easily kill her as collateral damage, proving that Remi is completely disposable. Megumi tries to leave her behind, but Remi stabs him in the back with her hair. He desperately begs Megumi to say that he loves her and will protect her. Disgusted, Megumi realizes that Remi is the type of person who cares more about words than actions.
Chizuru Hari, the player Megumi threw over the side of the building at the start of the skirmish, rejoins the skirmish. He praises Megumi for handling him before, but notes that the student is now in rough shape. Hari also mentions that it was a pain jumping up the building and Megumi mocks him for not taking the stairs. Megumi knows that four to one is a big disadvantage, but he is determined to get their points no matter what.
Suddenly, Kogane announces that a new rule has been added to the Culling Game. Rule Ten allows players to transfer points between themselves. Surprised and encouraged, Megumi smiles and immediately starts fighting Hari while he is distracted. He calls Max Elephant and pushes Hari out of the building. Megumi uses Nue to mount Hari in the air and then smashes his face with the hilt of her sword. Hari falls to the ground badly injured and curses Megumi for hurting him. Before he can get up, Megumi slashes his face with her sword and disposes of him.
For a moment, Megumi wonders what she is doing because they will need more points in the future. She refocuses by reminding herself that Tsumiki won’t have to participate in the killing now. He remembers to keep his head down and trust his teammates instead of forcing himself to take points away from his opponents. As Kogane rewards him with five points, Megumi reaffirms to herself that she just needs to deal with the difficulties that come her way.
Reggie and Hazenoki descend to ground level where their opponent uses umbrellas. The former is especially embarrassed by Hari’s lack of skill, who hasn’t even shown off his cursed technique. Megumi notices that Remi is out of range, but still outnumbered and feeling the effects of the first blast. It can’t escape, and using a domain extension is also out of the question because it’s still incomplete. Hazenoki suddenly spits one of his severed teeth at Megumi to use as another bomb, but someone steps in front of the blast to protect him.
Everyone is surprised by a newcomer named Fumihiko Takaba. Takaba claims that the two-on-one fights are unfair and calls Reggie and Hazenoki cowards. He adds that their attacks caused zero damage, though the bleeding from his face and head clearly shows that he was in fact injured, confusing Megumi.
