Plot:
Mahito and Yuji continue to fight at Shibuya Station. A cursed spirit tries to slash Yuji at the Dogenzak Gate, but the attack misses.
After getting lost, Mahito runs through the station and uses delayed transfiguration to catch Yuji off guard. Yuji dodges it again and Mahito follows up with a slashing attack from a large, enhanced, extra arm wrapped around his torso. Yuji intercepts the attack and Mahito immediately recognizes the danger it poses.
.
Yuji counterattacks, but Mahito rips off his own arm and transforms it into legs so they can both escape. Mahito runs through the entrance gate and once they’re a safe distance away, he connects back with the severed arm.
Yuji notices that Mahito has unlocked several new tricks since the last time they hit. Knowing that a direct attack is a big risk for him, Mahito decides to stick to using transfigured people. However, risk reduction is not the only reason for this strategy.
Mahito runs to another part of the station and disappears from Yuji’s sight. The young student is spotted by two civilians who warn him that it is too dangerous to be lurking around.
Yuji believes that Mahito ran upstairs and tries to tell the two non-wizards to hide. Suddenly, Mahito’s arm appears from their mouths and hits Yuji. The special class climbs out of the man as if shedding his skin and transforms the other civilian into a sword, angering Yuji. Mahito tells his opponent to work on his imagination, hoping to crush his spirit. To achieve this, Mahito has to play one more trick.
Almost two hours ago at Shibuya Station, the B4F Dagon had consumed many civilians. It was around this time that Mahito, Choso, and Jogo began hunting Yuji. To find Yuji first, Mahito split in two and blocked his competition. In the present, Mahita’s alter ego meets Nobara in an alley. He knows him from Yuji’s past messages. Mahito takes it as a compliment that he is famous, but Nobara claims that he is only known for being a coward and runs away.
An amused Mahito decides to kill her and Nobara fights back as he has nothing to show for the incident yet. He tries to remember what it was like to release the Black Flash, trying to penetrate the core of the cursed energy. In a brief exchange, Nobara manages to get the better of Mahita with clever explosions of her pegs and the environment around them. He admits she’s not bad, but doesn’t believe her attacks could actually hurt him. The cursed spirit realizes that Nobara is an ally of Yuji and plans to bring her corpse to him and destroy his soul.
